Filipinos Choose Mcdonald’S Crispy Chicken Fillet as Best-Tasting in Consumer Study

A 2026 FastForward study found that 81% of respondents preferred McDonald’s Crispy Chicken Fillet, as McSavers Sulit-Busog Meals offer Extra Rice or Extra Ulam options starting at ₱99.

McDonald’s Crispy Chicken Fillet was selected as the country’s best-tasting chicken fillet in a 2026 consumer study conducted by market research firm FastForward.

According to the study, 81% of 1,136 respondents chose McDonald’s Crispy Chicken Fillet as the best-tasting chicken fillet paired with rice when compared with similar offerings from other leading quick-service restaurant brands.

The research was conducted from November 2025 to January 2026.

Introduced to Filipino customers in 2004, McDonald’s Crispy Chicken Fillet helped establish the chicken fillet category in the local quick-service restaurant market. More than two decades later, it remains a familiar meal for customers looking for an affordable and satisfying rice meal.

The Chicken Fillet features tender chicken in a crunchy golden coating. Customers can pair it with rice and choose from gravy, Ala King sauce or Golden Curry sauce.

“Being recognized by Filipinos as having the best-tasting chicken fillet inspires us at McDonald’s Philippines to go extra and continue raising the standard not only in taste but also in value,” said Ada Almendras-Lazaro, chief marketing officer of McDonald’s Philippines.

“Through McSavers Sulit-Busog Meals, we’re making it easier for Filipinos to enjoy a meal that’s not only extra delicious, but also extra satisfying and extra in value,” she added.

Extra Rice or Extra Ulam

McDonald’s is offering two McSavers Sulit-Busog options based on how customers prefer to complete their meal.

The Extra Rice option is available for Crispy Chicken Fillet, Crispy Chicken Fillet Ala King and Golden Curry Fillet. Each meal costs ₱99 and comes with a regular Coke.

Customers who prefer more chicken can choose the Extra Ulam option, which includes two chicken fillets.

The Crispy Chicken Fillet Extra Ulam meal costs ₱129, while the Crispy Chicken Fillet Ala King and Golden Curry Fillet versions are priced at ₱139. Each Extra Ulam meal comes with a small Coke.

“Every Filipino has a different definition of ‘busog.’ At McDonald’s, we want to empower them to choose the meal that will satisfy them, whether with extra rice or extra ulam,” Almendras-Lazaro said.

McSavers Sulit-Busog Meals are available nationwide for dine-in, takeout, drive-thru and McDelivery orders, as well as through major food delivery platforms.
