A two-day wellness discovery programme across Hong Kong, Chengdu, and Shanghai, introducing a new dimension of holistic wellbeing that connects people and place

Upper House unveils the expansion of House of Healing, bringing its signature two‑day wellness discovery programme to Hong Kong, Chengdu and Shanghai. Guests will learn from leading practitioners through curated experiences and pioneering wellness practices, ranging from Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture and Gyrotonic sessions to hair spa therapies, tea ceremonies, Gong sound journeys and more. This year’s series began in May at Upper House Hong Kong and will roll out to Chengdu and Shanghai in June and September.

First introduced in 2024 in Hong Kong and hosted at both Hong Kong and Shanghai Houses the following year, House of Healing has grown into a trusted holistic initiative for pioneering residencies and group sessions that nurture mind, body and social wellbeing. Each House will curate its own programme, blending Eastern traditions with innovative science and social connection, ensuring a balance of private treatments and shared experiences.

“House of Healing has become a programme of remarkable success, one that resonates with our guests year after year. We recognise that wellness can be personal or social, and each journey is different,” said Kristina Snaith‑Lense, Head of Wellness at Swire Hotels. “It is our way of introducing pioneering concepts across our cities, inviting guests to explore the latest treatments and hear directly from leading experts on holistic health.”

House of Healing reflects the rhythm of its city by offering experiences that restore and connect guests to place. No two Houses are alike, and each destination brings its own character. Each House introduces fresh inspiration, making it a highlight for both returning guests and new guests.

Upper House Hong Kong (30-31 May)

Returning for its third edition, Upper House Hong Kong showcases the latest wellness residencies as an urban sanctuary amid the bustling city. The programming offers various experiences including personalised Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) acupuncture by Chain’s Medicare Centre and dynamic Hot Sculpt body workouts by And Sculpt, newly launched this May.

Upper House Chengdu (13-14 June)

Coinciding with Global Wellness Day, the Upper House Chengdu edition embraces a more unhurried pace of restoration akin to the city lifestyle. It marks the debut of the first-ever Hair & Scalp Spa by Zeva in China, while welcoming visiting practitioners from the Hong Kong House, including May Nagoy and Joyce Tsang of Stone & Star.

Upper House Shanghai (5-6 September)

As the final stop of the series, Upper House Shanghai captures the city’s progressive, vibrant energy in the programming, featuring a new Reformer Pilates and Gyrotonic studio and exclusive Technogym Hyrox training sessions, while introducing refined Chinese wisdom via TCM beauty acupuncture led by resident practitioner, Dr. Dai.
