Riot Games confirmed the global Closed Beta for 2XKO will launch on September 9, 2025 for Windows PC. Console versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X will follow at a later date.
2XKO is a 2v2 tag-based fighting game set in the League of Legends Runeterra universe. The game features full cross-platform progression and inventory. You can start playing on PC and switch to console anytime without losing progress.
Players who joined Alpha Lab 1 or 2 will automatically gain access to the Closed Beta. New players can register at 2xko.riotgames.com/beta to join the action during the test phase.
Riot will also preview a new playable champion, Vi, at the Evo 2025 showfloor in Las Vegas from August 1 to 3. Vi will be available both at Evo and in the Closed Beta.
Riot says the beta servers will stay live through launch, making this phase more than just a trial—it’s a warm-up for the final release.
2XKO will be free-to-play, designed for both competitive FGC veterans and newcomers to the genre. Players can follow @Play2XKO across major platforms for updates, dev insights, and feedback opportunities.
