Samsung’s global education program Solve for Tomorrow is returning to the Philippines this 2025, calling on young innovators to use science and technology for community-driven solutions. Now in its 15th year globally and 3rd year in the Philippines, the competition aims to empower STEM students to design impactful ideas that address real-world issues.
With the support of the Department of Education, the program is open to Grades 8 to 10 students from all government-managed Science High Schools nationwide. Over PHP 2 million worth of Samsung devices and cash prizes are at stake for the winning schools, teams, and teacher-advisers.
How to Join Solve for Tomorrow 2025
- Teams must include up to four students and one teacher-adviser.
- Entries should focus on one of three themes:
- Environmental Sustainability through Technology
- Social Change through Tech and Sport
- Solving Community Problems with Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Proposals must be submitted in PDF format, either 7 pages in Word or 5 slides in PowerPoint.
- Deadline for submissions: October 26, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
Top 10 entries will be announced on November 11, 2025. These teams will receive mentoring from Samsung before presenting their refined projects on December 3, 2025. Winners will be revealed on December 9, 2025.
Prize Breakdown
- Grand Prize: Php 500,000 worth of devices for the school, Php 250,000 worth for the team and adviser, Php 100,000 cash for the students, Php 30,000 cash for the teacher.
- Second Prize: Php 300,000 worth of devices for the school, Php 250,000 worth for the team and adviser, Php 70,000 cash for the students, Php 25,000 cash for the teacher.
- Third Prize: Php 200,000 worth of devices for the school, Php 250,000 worth for the team and adviser, Php 50,000 cash for the students, Php 15,000 cash for the teacher.
- Remaining top 10 teams: Php 15,000 cash for the team and Php 5,000 for the teacher.
Since its launch in 2010, Solve for Tomorrow has become a platform for innovation, equipping students with STEM-based problem-solving skills. This year introduces a stronger focus on AI, encouraging students to design AI-powered solutions alongside sustainability and social inclusion projects.
Samsung continues its mission to empower the youth, nurture innovators, and create “next-gen heroes” who will shape a smarter, more sustainable future.
