Veto Valorant New Sentinel Brings Power to Neutralize Enemy Utility
Riot Games unveiled Veto, the newest Sentinel agent in Valorant, during the VALORANT Champions Paris grand finals. The Senegalese enforcer changes the pace of combat by disabling enemy abilities and tech, leaving only gunplay to decide the fight. Veto’s arrival marks a shift in how teams will handle utility-heavy matchups.
Veto’s skillset centers on control and denial. Each ability targets enemy movement or tools, forcing rivals to rely on aim and strategy.
His Chokehold traps enemies with a viscous fragment, deafening and decaying them. Crosscut allows teleportation to a vortex marker, offering fast repositioning or retreat. Interceptor is his signature defense, destroying any projectile or gadget that would otherwise bounce or break under fire. Finally, Evolution transforms Veto into his most dangerous form, granting regeneration, faster movement, and total immunity from debuffs.
Veto joins the Valorant roster on October 7, 2025, bringing with him a disruptive playstyle that rewards smart positioning and counter-utility timing.
Riot Games also introduced Skirmish, a new custom mode focused on fast-paced engagements. It offers 1v1 to 5v5 fights in a compact map designed for quick action. Both additions aim to refresh the tactical shooter’s meta as players prepare for the next competitive season.
Valorant continues to expand its roster with agents that push team strategy and adaptability. With Veto, control shifts to those who can outthink, outshoot, and outlast their opponents.
