Cambodian rap phenomenon VannDa is set to redefine Southeast Asian hip-hop with his ambitious trilogy of mini-albums, TREYVISAI (“The Compass”), kicking off with TREYVISAI I: The Search for Light on March 14th. This highly anticipated project marks a bold step in his artistic evolution, blending high-energy anthems with introspective themes that will unfold across three distinct releases.
The first installment, TREYVISAI I, sets the stage with electrifying tracks such as “Out of My Mind”, “Me, My Flow, and I”, and “Fishing”, all of which received an enthusiastic reception during an exclusive listening party at Aeon 3 Main Hall in Phnom Penh. Leading the charge is “Smoke Up”, a powerful collaboration with renowned Thai rapper YOUNGOHM, symbolizing a landmark moment in regional hip-hop.
“When VannDa reached out, it felt like the perfect fit. I’ve followed his career and respect what he’s built. ‘Smoke Up’ was a natural collaboration,” said YOUNGOHM, expressing excitement for their cross-border synergy. VannDa echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the track’s role in spotlighting Southeast Asia’s rising influence in global music.
The TREYVISAI journey continues with TREYVISAI II: Burn Like the Sun, arriving on March 21st, exploring themes of chaos and emotional turmoil. This installment features a standout collaboration with Laotian star Thinlamphone on “Lovesick Blue”, a track that has already resonated with fans. The final chapter, TREYVISAI III: The Return to Sovannaphum, drops May 1st, celebrating VannDa’s identity and cultural heritage through a fusion of Khmer traditional sounds and modern rap production.
Further solidifying his impact, VannDa, in partnership with Tiger, will headline two major concerts: TREYVISAI Legacy Concert in Battambang on May 3rd and TREYVISAI Sovannaphum Concert in Phnom Penh on May 17th. As the main sponsor of Rapper Cambodia Seasons 2 & 3, Tiger’s involvement reinforces a shared vision of elevating Cambodia’s homegrown talent to the global stage under the banner “Boldly Asian, Celebrated Globally.”
With TREYVISAI, VannDa is not just releasing music—he’s leading a movement, proving that Southeast Asia’s hip-hop scene is ready to take the world by storm.
