Undas travel trends Philippines reveal how Filipinos mix remembrance with rest and short vacations.
All Saints’ Day or Undas in the Philippines remains a sacred tradition. Families travel home, visit cemeteries, and honor departed loved ones. But new data shows that Undas is also becoming a major travel season, second only to Holy Week.

According to AirAsia MOVE, 81% of flights booked from October 30 to November 2, 2025, were for domestic destinations. Nineteen percent of travelers went abroad. This proves how deeply the Filipino connection to home and remembrance runs, even as more combine family time with leisure travel.
Holy Week remains the busiest time of year, but Undas trips now make up 53% of Holy Week’s total bookings. The data points to a rising travel culture shaped by tradition and convenience.
Where Filipinos Flew From
Top departure cities include Manila, Cebu, Tacloban, Iloilo, and Bacolod. Manila stands out as both a major origin and destination. The Manila North Cemetery alone saw 1.6 million visitors last year.

The same cities also topped the arrival list, with Boracay joining in place of Bacolod. For international trips, Filipinos headed to Taipei, Tokyo, Osaka, Kuala Lumpur, and Seoul. Some took advantage of the break to rest and explore while still observing Undas traditions.
How Filipinos Planned Their Trips
Most travelers booked two to four weeks in advance. Thirty-four percent finalized plans 15 to 30 days before departure. October 30 marked the peak travel date, a day earlier than the official long weekend.
Nearly half of the travelers stayed three to four days. Another 21% extended their trips to five or six days, blending remembrance with mini vacations.
With affordable fares and better planning tools, Filipinos continue to make the most of every holiday. MOVE, the travel app formerly known as airasia Superapp, makes these journeys seamless. It connects users to flights, hotels, and experiences across ASEAN.
MOVE has been named “Asia’s Leading Online Travel Agency” by the World Travel Awards for two years running. It remains the go-to app for Filipinos who travel for faith, family, or fun.
