In-app and in-store financial solutions provider UnaCash announces a partnership with ComWorks Inc., a leading diverse mobile solutions provider, to introduce point-of-sale loans as a means for Filipinos to upgrade their accessibility to smartphones.

The agreement sees UnaCash’s point-of-sale loans being readily available in all of ComWorks’ 53 branches in Metro Manila, Cavite, Bulacan, Batangas, Laguna, and Bicol. The application process is made via the UnaCash app with flexible installment options of up to 12 months, for as low as 0% interest, which gives every Filipino the well deserved lifestyle upgrades through every purchase.

“With 28 years in the industry, ComWorks Inc. has facilitated wholesaler telecommunications services and mobile network equipment to cater to the needs of the local market. UnaCash is thrilled to advance this partnership as we are confident that we can bring in innovative point-of-sale solutions to address their customers’ needs, and support them in expanding credit accessibility within the Philippines,” said Erwin Ocampo, head of product at UnaCash.

“We are excited to partner with UnaCash to bring greater convenience and accessibility to our customers. This partnership reflects our dedication to innovation and customer-centric solutions in the smartphone market,” added Comworks COO Elizabeth Leyeza.

ComWorks Inc. is a renowned distributor of top-tier smartphone brands, offering a diverse portfolio of cutting-edge devices to consumers worldwide. With focus on quality and innovation and customer satisfaction, ComWorks Inc. has established itself a leader in the mobile technology industry.

This partnership is forged through a shared commitment to meeting the increasing demand for digital innovation and ensuring accessibility to high-quality products and services for all Filipinos. Internal data from UnaCash revealed that 70.17% of purchases made through its in-app platform consist of electronics and gadgets. This indicates a positive outlook for the partnership with ComWorks Inc., as both companies are enthusiastic about broadening their offerings to the local market.

To further increase customers’ engagement with the platform, UnaCash recently introduced installment loans, giving access to loans amounting from ₱3,000 to ₱50,000 with flexible repayment terms. This new feature is offered to existing customers with outstanding credit history, a way to promote responsible borrowing.
