The Bad Guys 2: New Villains, New Heist, Same Lovable Chaos

The beloved team of ex-criminals returns in The Bad Guys 2, and this time, the stakes are higher and the heists are wilder. Based on the bestselling book series by Aaron Blabey, the sequel opens in Philippine cinemas on July 30, reuniting the now-reformed misfit crew for an all-new, high-stakes adventure.

Having turned over a new leaf, The Bad Guys 2 follows the gang as they strive to stay on the right side of the law. But trouble finds them once again—this time, in the form of a globe-trotting heist, a trick played by a new team of villains, and a ticking clock that might just spell disaster.

Returning to the scene are:

  • Mr. Wolf (Sam Rockwell), the charismatic leader now struggling with the weight of redemption.
  • Mr. Snake (Marc Maron), the skeptical safecracker learning to open up emotionally as well.
  • Mr. Shark (Craig Robinson), whose flair for disguise gets even more theatrical this time around.
  • Mr. Piranha (Anthony Ramos), always impulsive and unpredictable—sometimes dangerously so.
  • Ms. Tarantula a.k.a. “Webs” (Awkwafina), the hacker whose calm under pressure is key to the mission.
  • Governor Diane Foxington (Zazie Beetz), balancing her public role with her secret past as The Crimson Paw.

The Bad Guys 2 doesn’t just promise thrilling action and globe-spanning escapades—it also dives deeper into the gang’s personal growth, emotional arcs, and the bonds they’ve built through chaos and camaraderie.

Will they stay good? Can they stop the new villains in time? And what secrets are still buried in their past? Fans will get all the answers—and plenty of laughs—when The Bad Guys 2 hits theaters this July.
