Taiwan made a remarkable impression on the Philippine travel industry through its participation in the 32nd PTAA Travel & Tour Expo 2025 and the Taiwan Tourism Workshop. These events, held from February 7 to 11, spotlighted Taiwan’s cultural richness, travel opportunities, and deepening ties with Filipino tourists.
The Taiwan Pavilion at the SMX Convention Center dazzled attendees with interactive displays, cultural performances, and a visually striking setup that earned it the title of “Most Decorated Booth.” PTAA President Ms. Evangeline Tankiang-Manotok praised Taiwan’s dedication to showcasing its diverse attractions.
Following the expo, the Taiwan Tourism Workshop 2025 gathered key travel industry leaders, airlines, and media representatives in Manila and Clark. Led by the Taiwan Tourism Information Center in Manila, the workshop featured presentations on Taiwan’s must-visit destinations, improved accessibility for Filipino travelers, and collaborations with major airlines such as China Airlines, EVA Air, STARLUX Airlines, Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and AirAsia.
Ms. Yi-Ting Chen, Director of the Taiwan Tourism Information Center in Manila, reaffirmed Taiwan’s commitment to welcoming more Filipino tourists, while Mr. Wallace Minn-Gan Chow of the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) emphasized the enduring ties between the two nations.
With engaging activities, networking opportunities, and exclusive travel deals, the event further solidified Taiwan’s appeal as a top travel destination. Offering visa-free entry and a seamless mix of tradition and modernity, Taiwan continues to invite Filipino travelers to experience its vibrant culture and warm hospitality.
