Solaire Resort North and Solaire Resort Entertainment City, through their CSR arm Solaire Cares, have partnered with the Quezon City Government and Quezon City University (QCU) to advance textile waste reduction and community support.
On August 12, Solaire turned over 116 bags of pre-loved uniforms to Barangay Bagong Pag-asa and QCU. The donation was received by Barangay Administration Officer Boret Fernando, Assistant Secretary Shannen Vael, and QCU Administration Head Grace Josue. The garments will support both school activities and local community programs.
This initiative is part of Solaire’s ongoing efforts to prevent textile waste from going to landfills. By donating reusable uniforms, Solaire promotes reuse and upcycling, directly aligning with Quezon City’s sustainability programs. QCU has been active in circular fashion practices and sustainability events, making it an ideal partner for this initiative.
The project was organized by Solaire’s Human Relations Strategic Development and Special Projects Team and has already reached Parañaque, Manila, Cavite, and Zambales. By extending its reach, Solaire reinforces its commitment to environmental responsibility and community upliftment.
Solaire Cares emphasizes that corporate responsibility is not only about donations but about creating lasting change. By reusing quality garments, the initiative reduces waste, inspires collective action, and supports communities and students in need.
