Sezairi The Art of Surrender marks a bold new era of creative freedom and emotional honesty

Singaporean singer-songwriter Sezairi begins a bold new chapter with his fifth studio album, The Art of Surrender, released under his own label, Offlane Records. The album marks a defining moment in his 16-year journey, where he steps into full creative ownership and emotional depth.

This project stands as Sezairi’s first self-produced record, a reflection of his evolution as an artist who has learned to find strength in vulnerability. Across 12 tracks, The Art of Surrender explores the quiet power of acceptance and the beauty of imperfection. Each song carries traces of R&B, soul, and Nusantara pop, blending cinematic textures with his signature warmth.

“This album is about rediscovering peace in letting go,” Sezairi shares. “I hope it reminds listeners that it’s okay to slow down and accept ourselves as we are.”

The lead single, Broken Promise, showcases his signature smooth vocals over lush R&B and pop melodies. The track reflects on loss and disappointment while maintaining a sense of emotional grace.

Sezairi collaborates with fellow artists like Nathan Hartono and Indonesian R&B artist Teddy Adhitya, weaving regional influences into his sound. The album also includes tracks sung in Bahasa Indonesia, highlighting his deep connection to Southeast Asia’s diverse music scene.

Founding Offlane Records marks Sezairi’s move toward independence. “I wanted to take full control of my creative process,” he explains. “Offlane Records was a natural next step, inspired by the offlane position in our favorite game, Dota 2.”

Sezairi rose to international recognition with It’s You, a 2017 hit that gained global traction in 2021, surpassing 200 million streams and earning multi-platinum certifications across Asia. With The Art of Surrender, he reinforces his legacy as one of Singapore’s most soulful voices, blending introspection, artistry, and authenticity in every note.

The Art of Surrender is now available on all major streaming platforms.
