Manila, Philippines – The stock market may be volatile, but the energy inside Enderun Colleges last January 8, 2026 was anything but uncertain. From intense market analysis to high-stakes trading decisions, Enderun’s Stockmarket Showdown 2025 once again proved that financial literacy among the youth is not just possible, it’s thriving.

Now in its latest run, the investment and trading simulation competition gathered 24 teams composed of 96 students from different schools. From November-December 2025, participants were challenged to think like real traders: analyzing market trends, executing strategies, and defending their decisions through presentations. What started as a crowded field narrowed down to five finalist teams, each bringing their own edge to the trading floor.
Guiding the competition was Edmund Lee, President and CEO of Caylum Trading Institute, an Enderun Colleges faculty member who has been teaching Capital Markets and other finance subjects for more than a year, and a dedicated mentor to the students. For Lee, the competition goes beyond winning trades.
“Financial literacy has been at the forefront of whatever we’ve been doing in all our business organizations. Education and the youth are always what we’re focused on, because the youth is the future,” Lee said.
The final round was evaluated by a panel of seasoned professionals. Attorney Fred Cruz, Moderator of the Enderun League for Economic Development and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Economics, brought an academic and policy-driven lens to the judging. Joining him was Antonio Takahashi, Chief Trading Officer of Tecnologías Financieras Capricorn, whose more than 30 years of international experience in treasury, trading, and quantitative analysis grounded the competition in real-world market realities.
The Top 5 finalists represented a diverse mix of institutions and strategies:
- ABM Aces – Jubilee Christian Academy
- Thomasian Bulls – University of Santo Tomas
- Fourtfolio – De La Salle University-Manila
- Chart Chasers – Jubilee Christian Academy
- Inside Trader – Chiang Kai Shek College
After a closely contested final round, Fourtfolio from De La Salle University-Manila emerged as Grand Champion, impressing judges with their disciplined strategy and clear market insights. Thomasian Bulls from the University of Santo Tomas secured 2nd runner-up, while Chart Chasers from Jubilee Christian Academy took home 3rd runner-up honors.
For Team Fourtfolio, the victory was about more than trophies. “We have been very grateful to be given this opportunity to learn real-life application skills,” the team shared. “What we learned from this competition is something that we could have only learned outside of a textbook and outside of school doors.”As Stockmarket Showdown 2025 comes to a close, Enderun Colleges reinforces its commitment to bridging education and real-world practice. The competition officially began in Q4 2025 with a series of master classes and trading assignments, culminating in the finals held in early 2026. In a time when financial decisions increasingly shape the future, the program underscores the value of equipping the youth with practical market knowledge today.
