If you started 2026 with a fitness goal, PRURun Cagayan de Oro gave you a clear reason to show up.
Around 2,000 runners and fitness fans filled Pueblo Business Park for PRURun 2026, now on its third year. China Gold District, Pru Life UK’s biggest agency in Cagayan de Oro, organized the run as a corporate wellness and community event. Pru Life UK served as title sponsor.
The program pushed a simple message that matched the day’s energy. Run for Health. Run for Protection. Run for Life.
You saw that message play out across four race distances. Runners chose 3K, 5K, 10K, or 16K, so first timers and experienced runners shared the same start lines. Organizers also expanded the distances this year, which helped bring in a broader mix of participants.
Pru Life UK Vice President and National Sales Director Jennifer May Santos said the run carried extra weight in 2026. She linked the event to the company’s milestone year. “This occasion is even more meaningful as we mark 30 years of Filipinos counting on PRU to address their health, wealth, and protection needs across generations,” Santos said.
Santos also pointed to the event’s growth. She said PRURun CDO rose from over 500 runners in its early run to more than 1,600 runners in its third year. The larger crowd on race day included supporters and families who came to watch, cheer, and join post run activities.
The January schedule also worked in the event’s favor. Many people reset routines at the start of the year, so the run landed when interest in fitness programs peaks. For Cagayan de Oro runners, that timing helps turn New Year goals into a concrete plan. Train. Show up. Finish.
