Cebu–Guam direct flights open new doors for tourism, trade, and family reunions
Philippine Airlines (PAL) and the Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) marked a new milestone in regional travel with the launch of direct Cebu–Guam flights starting December 16, 2025. The three-times-a-week service, operating every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, aims to connect more families, strengthen cultural exchange, and expand business opportunities between the two islands.

The launch event at Mactan-Cebu International Airport gathered tourism and government officials from both sides. GVB President and CEO Régine Biscoe Lee expressed joy over the partnership, calling it “a bridge between two communities that share a deep sense of family and hospitality.”
“Cebu and Guam are more than neighboring islands; we share values that bring our people closer,” said Lee. “This direct flight allows Guamanians to experience the richness of the Visayas, while inviting more Filipinos to explore the warmth and spirit of Guam.”
Guam Lieutenant Governor Joshua Tenorio highlighted the route’s importance in reconnecting families and promoting cultural and economic growth. “This flight strengthens our bond with the Philippines. It makes it easier for our people to visit, invest, and celebrate shared heritage,” he said.
PAL continues to position Cebu as a major international hub, now expanding its reach into the U.S. Pacific. The new service complements PAL’s existing international routes to Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam.
Flights will use the Airbus A321ceo or A321neo, leaving Cebu at 9:40 p.m. and arriving in Guam by 3:25 a.m. The return flight departs Guam at 5:15 a.m. and lands in Cebu at 6:50 a.m.
Aboitiz InfraCapital CEO Athanasios Titonis called the route “a vital reconnection that boosts tourism and trade across the Pacific.”
The Cebu–Guam route goes beyond convenience. It symbolizes friendship, culture, and shared growth between two vibrant island communities.
