MASHIRO joins Quadlips to strengthen AKB48’s global pop movement
Quadlips continues to grow its global lineup as KLP48’s rising star MASHIRO officially joins the group. The announcement was made by A-Nexus Inc. on October 1, 2025, through the group’s social media channels.

Formed in 2023, Quadlips serves as AKB48’s global unit, combining select members from different 48 sister groups across Asia. The current lineup includes FENI from JKT48, COLE from MNL48, FAME from BNK48, and now MASHIRO from KLP48. Together, they embody a fresh, multicultural sound that bridges fans from different countries.
MASHIRO, who hails from Nara Prefecture, Japan, joined KLP48’s second generation before being chosen for Quadlips during the Oshi Tera Idol Matsuri in September 2025. Known for her vibrant energy and sharp performance skills, she is expected to bring a new spark to the group’s live stages and fan engagement.
A-Nexus Inc. said that MASHIRO’s addition enhances the group’s creative balance and strengthens its international appeal. “MASHIRO’s arrival will enrich the group’s performance and add her unique artistry to Quadlips,” the management shared.
MASHIRO expressed her gratitude, saying, “I’m thankful for this opportunity and excited to perform with FENI, COLE, and FAME. I want to share my passion for music with fans everywhere.”
Quadlips is currently promoting their single “IDGA,” which debuted in the Philippines in August 2025. Fans can expect more TV, radio, and mall appearances in the coming months featuring the group’s new four-member lineup.
