Mala King Hotpot brings authentic Chongqing flavors to Arcovia City with premium broths and fresh ingredients
Food lovers now have a new destination for bold flavors. Mala King Hotpot opens its first branch in Arcovia City, Pasig, bringing authentic Chongqing hotpot to Metro Manila.

The brand was inspired by the founders’ travels to Chongqing, China. “We wanted to bring the same malatang culture to Manila,” said founder Kyle Yu. “Authentic, consistent, and premium while still reasonably priced.”
Mala King Hotpot stands out for its balance of authenticity and local preference. Diners can enjoy large servings, freedom to mix ingredients, and the shared joy of hotpot meals.

Each bowl starts with a choice of six broths. Mala Original features Sichuan spices with adjustable spice levels. Golden Chicken is hearty and clean. Signature Tomato is bright and tangy. Sukiyaki delivers Japanese-style sweetness. Premium Bulalo pays homage to Filipino comfort food. Spicy Tom Yum adds a zesty Thai kick.

The sauce bar offers even more personalization. Diners can go bold with chili oil, herby with wansoy purée, or sweet with hoisin and caramelized onion.

For around ₱500, customers can build their own bowl with 20 toppings, rice, and free ice cream. Mala King also serves dry noodles using the same mix-and-match process.

Freshness is key. Meats include marbled beef shank, tendons, and beef belly. Seafood options range from scallops to blue crabs. Vegetables like lotus root, bamboo shoots, and seafood mushrooms add balance. Specialty balls and noodle varieties complete the spread.

To refresh the palate, Mala King serves brewed iced teas made from imported leaves. Signature flavors include Raspberry Cooler, Watermelon Breeze, and Orange Sunrise.

Mala King Hotpot combines authentic Chongqing flavors with a premium dining experience. Visit their first branch at Arcovia City, Pasig, and taste the best of China’s fiery hotpot culture.
