GRAMMY-winning artist Laufey has released her latest single “Snow White” along with an official music video filmed entirely in Iceland. The track blends her signature dreamy sound with candid reflections on the pressures of perfection and beauty standards placed on women.
Laufey says the song is about the constant pursuit of self-improvement and the impossible ideals women face. Directed by her twin sister and creative director Junia Lin, the video captures the song’s emotional depth through striking Icelandic landscapes.
“Snow White” is part of her upcoming album ‘A Matter of Time’, set for release on August 22 via Vingolf Recordings / AWAL. The album, co-produced with Spencer Stewart and Aaron Dessner, allows Laufey to explore new sounds and heavier themes while staying true to her jazz and classical influences.
Known for bridging timeless musical styles with contemporary pop, Laufey has earned 5 billion global streams, sold out venues like the Hollywood Bowl and Royal Albert Hall, and topped charts with her past work including the GRAMMY-winning ‘Bewitched’. She continues to grow her influence in Asia, with the Philippines among her top streaming markets.
The release also follows her launch of The Laufey Foundation, which supports young musicians through youth orchestras, with $1 from each ticket on her tour going to the cause.
