Leading global hospitality company Hilton (NYSE: HLT) proudly unveils the opening of KROMO Bangkok, Curio Collection by Hilton, marking the debut of its lifestyle brand Curio Collection by Hilton in Thailand. Located on Sukhumvit Soi 29, this newly built 28-storey hotel joins a global collection of individually remarkable hotels in sought-after destinations, where each hotel evokes a bespoke story through distinctive architecture and design, and curated guest experiences.
Alan Watts, president, Asia Pacific, Hilton, said: “Thailand’s enduring appeal as a travel destination lies in its rich culture, warm hospitality and vibrant energy — qualities that make Bangkok the ideal setting to debut our first Curio Collection by Hilton property as we herald a new wave of lifestyle hotels in the country. This opening underscores Hilton’s commitment to delivering distinctive guest experiences that celebrate the spirit of each destination, as we quicken our pace in the fast-growing luxury and lifestyle segment across Asia Pacific.”
Inspired by Bangkok’s ceremonial name, “The City of Nine Gems”, KROMO Bangkok brings the city’s vibrant spirit to life through a layered design narrative by Thai creatives at DIN Studio. Guests are invited into a modern day cabinet of wonders, where every corner reveals a hidden ‘gem’: a detail, texture or moment that sparks curiosity and connection. These elements are thoughtfully embedded throughout the hotel, creating a sensory journey brought to life by a collective of Thai artists and creatives, celebrating Bangkok’s cultural richness and contemporary spirit.
From a diamond’s dancing brilliance reflecting from the façade of the hotel to the kaleidoscopic welcome at Colette, the journey continues to the 10th floor lobby, a space conceived as a quiet pause above the city’s energy. Emerald tones envelope the space, where Korakot Aromdee’s sculptural clouds and trees evoke an ethereal veil above Bangkok. Whimsical flying seed sculptures by PATAPiAN and playful Angel Hat’s lamps suspended overhead add a sense of wonder.
As the journey continues, guests arrive at the Vilah Social Creative Space — a hub for workshops and moments of connection — where the essence of cat’s eye chrysoberyl comes alive with overhead, luminous backlit panels spreading a soft, glowing radiance across the room. Complementing this glow, the space is adorned with LIKAYBINDERY’s paper book–inspired installation, featuring a hand-painted cat illustration by Studio JEW+. Even the elevator becomes part of the experience, inviting guests in with moonstone’s milky luminescence. Each ride transforms into a moment of reflection, with lighting that subtly shifts to mirror lunar phases. Upon reaching the first floor, the hallway features bespoke tiles crafted by loqa, made from 95% recycled materials to reflect the cyclical nature of the moon.
Within KROMO Bangkok, Curio Collection by Hilton, transitional spaces become immersive canvases. Creative collaborator Studio JEW+ has painted bespoke ceiling artwork and wall murals across the property, whilst along the guest floor corridors, designer Pichaya Osothcharoenpol’s illustrations frame the cityscape of Bangkok in playful and unexpected ways.
Tal Shefer, senior vice president, Brand Management, Asia Pacific, Hilton shared: “No two Curio Collection properties are the same. Each is celebrated for its unique spirit, discovered through distinctive architecture and design, world-class food and beverage and curated local offerings that immerse guests in their destination. KROMO Bangkok joins this eclectic collection of lifestyle hotels across Asia Pacific with its own unique story woven throughout.”
Design-driven stays with a sense of discovery
The 306 guest rooms, spanning King and Twin rooms (from 30 square meters) as well as Junior and King suites, are warmed with ruby hues that echo the city’s signature pink sunsets and creating a sense of calm. Ruby itself transforms into the figure of a sunbird, with its iridescent feather textures woven into the carpets of both guestrooms and corridors. This subtle detail carries the bird’s vitality and grace throughout the space. Within these private sanctuaries, intricate illustrations by Thai visual artist Nakrob Moonmanas appear on bathrobes, mirrored panels, suite murals, and even inside drawers, each detail designed as a hidden delight that invites guests to pause and explore. The interiors of all guestrooms and corridors were designed by LuxeLife Studio, offering thoughtfully curated spaces that combine comfort and style.
On the 28th floor the rooftop pool reflects the different hues of zircon, believed to be one of the Earth’s oldest gems. As daylight slips into dusk, the ceiling glows a sunset-inspired orange-red, casting reflections across the pool’s surface, giving the illusion of swimming through an oasis of molten gems. Guests can relax on

comfortable day beds or sun loungers and sample a menu of refreshing bar bites and drinks, accompanied by sweeping rooftop vistas that capture the dynamic energy and skyline of Bangkok.
At Colette, the hotel’s French-inspired bistro and bar, the design pays homage to Sukhumvit’s early origins as Thung Bang Kapi, once a sprawling lowland. The dining room is wrapped in warm Kapi tones, a color inspired by shrimp paste that brings both richness and depth to the atmosphere. Suspended and wall-mounted metal artworks by Pin Metal Art capture the elegance and vitality of Siamese fighting fish, their fluid forms shimmering as though caught mid-motion. A woven textile screen by Jarupatcha Achavasmit recalls the delicate bowls traditionally used to keep these spirited fish, layering the space with cultural resonance and tactile warmth to the dining experience. Against this backdrop, Colette offers a refined yet relaxed culinary journey, with a menu that elevates French cuisine through playful twists and locally sourced, sustainable ingredients.
Signature dishes such as the Siam Benedict, Colette French Toast, and classic Steak Frites anchor the menu, while sweet highlights like Pandan and Coconut Madeleines with bergamot curd add a tropical flourish. Whether it is a leisurely brunch, afternoon le goûter, or an intimate dinner, guests can enjoy signature cocktails inspired by global fashion capitals – from the elegance of Paris to the edginess of Tokyo – paired with a curated wine selection that highlights natural and orange wines.
Jennifer Vivian, general manager, KROMO Bangkok, shared: “At KROMO Bangkok, we’ve created more than just a place to stay; we’ve shaped an experience that celebrates Thai creativity, sparks curiosity and invites guests to discover something new at every turn.”
