Kaspersky for Linux Philippines Brings Full Cyber Protection to Local Users
Kaspersky has launched its consumer cybersecurity solution for Linux users in the Philippines. The move expands its protection to more operating systems as cyber threats rise across the country.

Long seen as a secure platform, Linux is now facing more attacks. Kaspersky data revealed that exploits against Linux users grew by 130 percent in early 2024 compared to the previous year. The rise comes as more developers, crypto users, and businesses adopt Linux.
In the Philippines, Kaspersky Security Network data showed worrying numbers. Between July and September 2025, 20 percent of users encountered online threats. Another 19.3 percent faced local infections through USBs and offline sources. These figures place the country among the most targeted globally.
Kaspersky for Linux gives users full protection against scams, phishing, and malware. It shields personal and payment data, monitors systems and devices, and detects suspicious activity in real time. It also scans removable media and alerts users about malicious sites and phishing links.
The new solution supports major Linux distributions, including Ubuntu, ALT Linux, Uncom, and RedOS.
Anton Ivanov, Kaspersky’s Chief Technology Officer, said the belief that Linux is immune to cyber threats is false. “Our years of securing Linux devices in corporate environments have built the foundation for this new product for private users,” Ivanov said. “It ensures the complete safety of our customers’ digital lives.”
Kaspersky’s consumer software continues to earn international recognition. It was named Product of the Year by AV-Comparatives in 2023 and Top-Rated Product in 2024. These awards reinforce its reputation as a trusted cybersecurity provider.
Kaspersky for Linux comes in three plans: Standard, Plus, and Premium. Users can also test the solution free for 30 days. Details and system requirements are available on the Kaspersky website.
