Instagram and Spotify are making music sharing smoother with new integrations now available worldwide on iOS and Android.
Users can now share Spotify tracks to Instagram Stories with a short snippet of the song included. Viewers of the story can tap the music sticker to open and listen to the full track on Spotify.
Instagram Notes also supports direct Spotify sharing. When creating a note, you can tap the music note symbol and select “Share from Spotify.” The note will then display the track you are playing, and if you switch songs within 30 minutes, it updates automatically. Friends can tap your note to add the track to their Spotify likes.
On the Spotify app, a new Instagram Notes icon has been added alongside other sharing options. This makes posting what you’re listening to on Instagram even more seamless.
With these updates, Spotify’s nearly 700 million users have an easier way to connect music with social interaction.
