Indrive Philippines Team Helps Bulacan Households Recover from Recent Floods

inDrive Philippines, with the nonprofit Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST), distributes relief packs to families affected by flooding in Bulacan

Following weeks of heavy rainfall that caused flooding in parts of Central Luzon, global mobility platform inDrive mobilized employees to distribute relief packs to affected families in Meycauayan, Bulacan.

Working with the nonprofit Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST), inDrive extended a total of USD 20,000 worth of assistance to 1,200 flood-affected families in Barangays Zamora and Perez in Meycauayan. In Barangay Zamora alone, 895 families were affected by the recent flooding, while Barangay Perez had floodwaters reach waist level in some areas.

Throughout the outreach, inDrive volunteers distributed emergency aid bags to both barangays. Each bag contains 4 kilograms of rice, 6 packs of instant noodles, 4 canned goods, 1 pack of instant coffee sachets, and 1 pack of powdered milk sachets. The food supplies were intended to provide immediate assistance as the families recover from the flooding and continue to face the possibility of heavy rains during the habagat season.

“Many of our employees and partner drivers live and work in communities that also experience heavy rains and flooding, so we understand how disruptive these events can be,” said Sofia Guinto, Country Manager of inDrive Philippines. “By working with ASSIST and local officials, we hope to provide families in Meycauayan with practical support as they recover. We also hope to encourage more members of the inDrive community to take part in future outreach efforts.”

inDrive Philippines, together with volunteers, provides assistance to flood-affected families in Barangays Zamora and Perez in Meycauayan, Bulacan.

The initiative forms part of inDrive Cares, the company’s community engagement program, and follows its flood-relief activity in Barangay Masambong, Quezon City, in August 2026. That effort, also conducted with ASSIST, assisted more than 250 families affected by flooding.

inDrive employees and partner drivers also previously participated in a cleanup drive at Caingin Estero, along the Valenzuela–Meycauayan boundary. The activity involved removing waste that could obstruct water flow and contribute to flooding in nearby communities.

Through inDrive Cares, the company continues to work with nonprofit organizations, local communities, and platform members to help address immediate needs while supporting longer-term community recovery. From providing essential relief to families affected by flooding to helping keep waterways clear, these efforts reflect inDrive’s commitment to caring for the communities where its employees, partner drivers, and passengers live and work.
