HONOR Philippines has confirmed the arrival of its latest foldable, the HONOR Magic V5, on September 5. Touted as the world’s thinnest foldable, the device also shows off its toughness by carrying a sofa and even a 35-kg dumbbell.
Vice President Stephen Cheng shared that foldable phones have evolved since 2019, moving from thick, crease-prone designs to sleek and practical builds. He said the HONOR Magic V5 represents the next stage, setting a benchmark for both slimness and usability.
The phone uses a Super Steel Hinge with tensile strength of 2300 MPa, making it lighter yet stronger. This hinge design allows for a tighter fold, reducing thickness while keeping durability intact.
