Hitachi Vantara has announced that its Virtual Storage Platform One Software-Defined Storage (VSP One SDS) is now available in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. The move gives enterprises expanded cloud compatibility and access to built-in features like provisioning, compression and replication, enabling them to streamline operations and cut storage costs by up to 40 percent.
With VSP One SDS integrated into Azure, organizations can manage and protect data across on-premises and cloud environments through a single control plane powered by VSP 360 unified management software. This simplifies hybrid cloud operations, reduces complexity and supports disaster recovery with enterprise-grade resiliency.
According to IDC, 82 percent of cloud buyers say their systems need modernization, with skills gaps and operational inefficiencies driving up costs. Hitachi Vantara’s Azure-compatible platform addresses these pain points by helping customers scale workloads, speed DevOps cycles and improve business continuity.
“By bringing VSP One to Microsoft Azure, we’re helping Azure customers extend the value of their existing investments while introducing new levels of resiliency, efficiency and simplicity,” said Octavian Tanase, Chief Product Officer at Hitachi Vantara.
The partnership also offers enterprises flexibility when planning hybrid cloud strategies, maximizing the value of Hitachi Vantara storage while taking advantage of Azure’s trusted ecosystem. Microsoft welcomed the launch, noting that Azure Marketplace and partners like Hitachi Vantara allow customers to do more with less by buying confidently and spending smarter.
