Green GSM, the Philippines’ first all-electric taxi service, is gaining a loyal following in Metro Manila. Just two months after launch, passengers are praising the service for clean cars, quiet rides, and on-time arrivals.
Unlike traditional taxis, Green GSM offers a peaceful ride. Its Nerio Green electric vehicles run without the noise, heat, and vibrations of gasoline engines. Passengers note the calm cabin and fresh interiors. “The rides show up when they should, the drivers are courteous, and I always feel safe,” said rider Gabriel Joshua R. Ancheta.
Cleanliness also stands out. Riders describe the experience as stepping into a brand new car every time. “No bad smell of emission, VIP feels on the passenger seat,” shared Mary Joyce L. Salazar. This consistency is changing expectations of what a taxi ride should be.
The app itself is simple to use. Booking is quick, with passengers noting its user-friendly design. For riders frustrated with late pickups and complicated platforms, Green GSM delivers reliability.
Commuters are also drawn to the health and environmental benefits. With zero emissions, rides contribute to better air quality. “It’s better for people’s health and truly the best choice for transportation today,” said passenger Yaj Myel Manzo.
The Philippine ride-hailing market is already worth $804 million this year and is set to pass $1 billion in the next few years. Green GSM is carving its place by offering both sustainability and superior service. For riders like Ancheta, Salazar, and Chavez, it is quickly becoming the go-to choice for Manila commutes.
