Good Charlotte has released their first album in seven years, ‘Motel Du Cap’. Written by Benji and Joel Madden with Mattias Bylund, and produced by Zakk Cervini and Jordan Fish, the album blends rock with rap, country, and soul.
Reuniting with Paul Thomas on bass and Billy Martin on guitar, the band delivers a mix of raw riffs and personal storytelling. The album features collaborations with Wiz Khalifa, Zeph, Luke Borchelt, and Petti Hendrix.
The concept was born from a private performance at Hotel du Cap in France during Joel’s sister’s wedding in 2023. That night inspired the Maddens to return to music with renewed passion.
Key tracks include “I Don’t Work Here Anymore,” a song about leaving behind what no longer serves you, and singles “Rejects” and “Stepper.” Good Charlotte will perform “I Don’t Work Here Anymore” tonight on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
