Ayala Malls’ Glorietta has relaunched its cinemas with a modernized look, upgraded technology, and the debut of its new luxury movie house, A-Luxe. The relaunch on August 20 marked another milestone in the Makati mall’s reinvention as a hub for entertainment and leisure.
The refreshed lobby now features a 300-square-meter LED screen with 13K resolution and 3D capability, one of the largest in the country. The wall-to-ceiling display serves as a striking centerpiece that greets guests with trailers, visuals, and immersive storytelling.
Other enhancements include redesigned interiors with ambient feature lighting, wider seating with more legroom, and Dolby Atmos sound for immersive audio. A revamped Movie Snackbar and better wayfinding signage also make the experience more seamless.

The highlight of the relaunch is the A-Luxe cinema, a boutique theater with 60 motorized recliner seats. Each seat has a personal tablet, USB charging port, and extra-wide spacing, offering premium comfort for exclusive screenings.
The relaunch event featured cocktails, music by DJ Jimmy Nocon, and the first public showcase of the massive LED screen, capped with a block screening of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle.”

“Glorietta Cinemas are not just back, they’re better, bolder, and built for today’s movie lovers,” said Yvette Roldan, Ayala Malls’ ancillary business head. Paul Birkett, chief operating officer of Ayala Malls, added that the cinemas are part of Glorietta’s wider transformation into a vibrant lifestyle hub with a fresh retail mix and cultural offerings.
More updates are expected as renovations continue, further positioning Glorietta as a center for community, culture, and entertainment in Makati.
