Hip-hop heavyweights headline FlipTop Live Cebu and Manila concerts this November
FlipTop, the country’s most watched battle rap league, is bringing the biggest names in Filipino hip-hop to the concert stage this November.
On November 7, FlipTop Live kicks off at the IC3 Convention Center in Cebu. Fans will see Loonie, Gloc-9, and US-based rapper Bambu De Pistola perform live together, joined by KJah, Visayan crew No Pets Allowed, and Cebuano artist Mistah Lefty. Turntable masters Phatrick, Short, and Supreme Fist complete the Cebu lineup.
The next day, November 8, the Manila crowd takes the spotlight at the Metrotent Convention Center in Pasig. Alongside Loonie, Gloc-9, and Bambu, the show features Mhot, the undefeated 2017 Isabuhay Champion, as well as hip-hop icons Kemikal Ali, DJ Arbie Won, and DJ Nicko.
Bambu shared his excitement online, saying, “I’m honored to come back and rock with two of my favorite emcees from back home, Gloc-9 and Loonie. I’m bringing DJ Phatrick for the first time, so this will be special.”
Gloc-9 added, “Cebu has always been close to my heart since my early days. Now with a Manila leg, performing in FlipTop Live feels full circle.”
Organizer Anygma explained that this first FlipTop Live focuses on fewer artists but longer, heavier sets. “There’s something for Battle Rap fans and Hip-hop Music fans,” he said. The event also highlights DJ-ing, one of hip-hop’s four core elements.
Tickets are available via the FlipTop Battle League Facebook page and at Apollo Sports Bar in Cebu and Baraks in Mandaluyong. Barkada promos include “Buy 6, Get 1 Free” for General Admission and “Buy 7, Get 1 Free” for VIP. Every ticket comes with one free FlipTop Beer, while SVIP buyers get exclusive merch in a tote bag.
Fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early and witness history as FlipTop brings live hip-hop energy to Cebu and Manila.
