GCash has released the fifth installment of its #GCashStories campaign, featuring the inspiring story of Rhea Inayan, dubbed “Bayani ng Barangay.” The finance super app highlighted her rise from a small boutique owner in Bacolod to one of the top GCash Pera Outlet partners in Visayas.
Inayan began her entrepreneurial journey in 2008 with Tatti Boutique, selling imported goods. When illness and the pandemic forced her to close, she started again with a pop-up shop in 2023. Seeing the need for financial services in her community, she joined the GCash Pera Outlet program, offering cash-in, cash-out, bill payments, and e-load services.
Her ₱10,000 capital and handwritten signage have since grown into a thriving business with four GCash Pera Outlet accounts. Inayan’s store now serves as a vital hub, especially during paydays and weekends, providing extended hours beyond banks and traditional outlets.
GCash executives praised Inayan’s role in uplifting her community through accessible financial services. She also mentors other aspiring GCash Pera Outlet partners, aiming to expand across Negros and explore franchising.
Through this campaign, GCash reinforces its Finance for All mission, empowering MSMEs with easy sign-up requirements, extended wallet limits, and earning potential of up to ₱40,000 monthly. The GCash Pera Outlet program continues to open opportunities for local business owners to serve and grow within their communities.
