At the heart of the GS4 MAX HEV is GAC’s 2.0L Atkinson-cycle dedicated hybrid engine paired with a 2-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) and a 2.1 kWh Nickel Cobalt Manganese (NCM) battery. Combining modern architectural aesthetics with GAC’s advanced hybrid technology, the multi-mode system seamlessly transitions between Pure Electric (EV), Hybrid (HV), Direct Engine Drive, and Energy Recuperation modes.

Powered by an Atkinson-cycle HEV engine, the system achieves a combined power output of 232 HP (173 kW) and a maximum motor torque of 300 N·m.
