Fisher Mall Strengthens Pet-Friendly Retail Strategy in the Philippines

Fisher Mall Expands Pet-Friendly Offerings to Meet Rising Pet Care Demand

Fisher Mall continues to redefine the mall experience for Filipino families and their pets. With 94% of Filipino households owning pets, as reported by Kantar Philippines, the country leads Southeast Asia in pet ownership. This strong bond between humans and animals is changing how Filipinos live, shop, and spend time together.

At the center of this shift is Fisher Mall’s commitment to becoming a space where pets are as welcome as their owners. The mall’s flagship event, Pet Universe 2025, brought pet parents, animal enthusiasts, and top pet brands together. It featured grooming demos, adoption corners, health talks, and exclusive promos that celebrated the relationship between pets and their humans.

Earlier this year, the mall also introduced “Supertails & Cinema,” a unique event where families could bring their furry companions inside its theaters. These initiatives show how Fisher Mall is adapting to changing lifestyles, offering inclusivity and fun for every member of the family.

“Pets are family, and with nearly every Filipino household owning one, it’s important for us to create spaces where they feel welcome,” said Raymond del Rosario, President of Fisher Mall Group of Companies. “Through our mall initiatives, we make sure Fisher Mall grows with the lifestyles of our customers, welcoming children, loved ones, and pets alike.”

The rise in pet ownership is also transforming the retail industry. Mordor Intelligence reports that the Philippine pet food market continues to expand as owners seek better nutrition and more specialized products. In response, Fisher Supermarket has broadened its pet care section, offering premium brands, treats, accessories, and hygiene items.

Looking ahead, Fisher Mall plans to open a pet grooming and café concept by late 2025, giving families and their pets even more reasons to visit.

Fisher Mall’s forward-thinking approach proves one thing: retail is no longer just about shopping, but about creating shared experiences that fit how Filipinos live today.
