ESL FACEIT Group (EFG), the leading esports and video game entertainment company, and Qualcomm Technologies Inc. today announced an expanded roadmap for Year 3 of the Snapdragon Pro Series, the world’s largest multi-title mobile esports league. Seasons 5 and 6 of competition feature the largest prize pool in Snapdragon Pro Series history of up to nearly USD $4.4 million. Competitors will have an opportunity to face off in seven of the world’s most popular titles thanks to the Snapdragon Pro Series teaming up with top publishers like Activision Publishing, Inc., MOONTON Games, and Supercell.

“The level of investment we’re seeing from publishers and exponential growth of the Snapdragon Pro Series underscores why mobile is the future of esports,” said Sam Braithwaite, VP of Game Ecosystems, Mobile. “We’re proud to continue our work with Qualcomm Technologies at the cutting-edge of competition and mobile technology to empower players with more opportunities to compete – from matches against their friends to seats on the world stage.”

The continued growth of the ecosystem arrives after a successful Year 2 for the Snapdragon Pro Series, which facilitated nearly 1 billion matches (up 13,200 percent year-over-year) and 4.4 million sign-ups around the world, from regions in Asia, North America, Latin America, and Europe. The mobile esports competition also gave fans more opportunities to watch, resulting in 23.7 million hours watched (up 231 percent year-over-year). This growth was anchored by a series of firsts, including the introduction of Latin America as the newest region, standalone stadium events in India and Indonesia, and integration of Call of Duty©: Mobile’s global esports circuit into the Snapdragon Pro Series.

An Overview of Year 3

The Snapdragon Pro Series’ Year 3 roadmap includes a full slate of global competition beginning with Mobile Open across titles through the end of April and concluding with Mobile Masters in 2025. The crowning moment of the year brings newly-added Masters-level title Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) to Southeast Asia – where mobile gaming consumption has on average doubled year-over-year for the past four years. The Snapdragon Pro Series already has a track-record for success in the region, with its July 2023 MLBB competition attracting over 1 million viewers and breaking attendance records.

Year 3 will additionally feature expanded partnerships with MLBB developer MOONTON Games and Brawl Stars developer Supercell as well as the Call of Duty©: Mobile esports circuit returning to the Snapdragon Pro Series for another full year to give fans more opportunities to watch, compete, and win in three of the most popular mobile titles.

A breakdown of updates for key titles can be found below.

  • Brawl Stars: Through a multi-year partnership with Supercell, the Snapdragon Pro Series will be the global operator of the Brawl Stars Championship, bringing competition to players in more than 190 countries, with matches already underway. The ecosystem will host a live last-chance qualifier in August, giving players more ways to qualify for the World Finals later in the year.
  • MLBB: In partnership with MOONTON Games, MLBB will return to the Snapdragon Pro Series with all new competitions. Mobile Open competitions kick off as early as April 8 in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia, and offers top teams a path to international MLBB competitions at Mobile Masters, Esports World Cup, and more. The Snapdragon Pro Series’ MLBB circuit will also include its first tournament for top women competitors. The online tournament invites players from Southeast Asia to face off for their chance to qualify for the MLBB Women’s Invitational at Esports World Cup this summer.
  • Garena Free Fire: Competition returns to the Snapdragon Pro Series in Year 3, with Mobile Open play beginning in Latin America later this year. The circuit will offer players new opportunities to qualify for international events, with more details to come.
  • Clash of Clans: This summer, Snapdragon Pro Series Clash of Clans competition will feed into the official Clash of Clans Last Chance Qualifier tournament. With a pipeline to the title’s World Championship, the international circuit will give fans more opportunities to compete at the highest level.
  • Call of Duty©: Mobile: In collaboration with Activision Publishing, Inc., Call of Duty©: Mobile esports will return to the Snapdragon Pro Series in Year 3, giving the title’s global player base more opportunities to compete on the world stage. Full details on Season 5 and 6 of competition will be shared in the coming weeks.
