In celebration of its 9th anniversary, #MentalHealthPH is proud to introduce #Enga9e: Uniting Voices for Mental Health and NCD Advocacies in the Philippines, a virtual community dialogue to be held on April 30, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NN via Zoom.
This initiative comes in preparation for the Interactive Multi-Stakeholder Hearing on May 2, 2025, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, a pivotal event leading up to the 4th High-Level Meeting of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) on the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs) and the Promotion of Mental Health.
As a proud participant in the upcoming UN hearing, #MentalHealthPH aims to elevate the lived experiences and perspectives of Filipinos. Through #Enga9e, they invite community members, mental health advocates, persons with lived experiences, and other stakeholders to share their stories, highlight best practices, identify persistent challenges, and propose solutions for a mentally healthier Philippines.
“We believe the power of change lies in our community,” said Roy Dahildahil, Executive Director at #MentalHealthPH. “Your voices matter. Through #Enga9e, we want to ensure that the realities of Filipinos—our struggles, innovations, and hopes—are represented on the global stage.”
Participants in the dialogue will help co-create the key messages that #MentalHealthPH will bring to the UN, ensuring that global decision-makers hear directly from the ground.
The dialogue is open to the public, and all are encouraged to join—especially those with lived experiences or active involvement in mental health and NCD work. Through collaborative efforts and storytelling, #MentalHealthPH hopes to amplify the call for equitable, sustainable, and inclusive mental health systems in the Philippines and beyond.
