Seal Partnership for Academic and Industry Excellence
In a landmark move to strengthen academic excellence and industry relevance, Enderun Colleges and the University of Batangas (UB) formalized their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing held at Enderun Colleges.

The partnership underscores a shared commitment to preparing students for the demands of a global workforce by aligning academic programs, expanding research initiatives, and deepening industry linkages.
Enderun Colleges President Dr. Jun Salipsip opened the ceremony, emphasizing the power of collaboration. “Together, I think we can form a partnership and do something bigger and much better than if we all do it alone. We’re excited for the areas we’ve identified,” he said.

UB President Lily Marlene J. Hernandez reflected on the university’s founding vision after World War II. “We really want to help the Filipino youth,” she shared. “Let’s work together to give them the skills, the opportunities, and the experiences they need – not just to get jobs, but to get good jobs.”
Outlining the collaboration areas, Loida Flojo, Enderun Extension’s Vice President, highlighted three key initiatives:
- Academic and curriculum alignment, including a Collaborative Culinary Pathways Program where UB students begin their studies in Batangas and complete advanced design and culinary training at Enderun in Manila.
- Research, consultancy, and quality development, which will see both institutions co-developing research, conducting needs analyses, and aligning faculty and facilities to industry standards.
- Industry and lifelong learning integration, offering micro-credentials, digital badges, and internship opportunities to ensure students transition successfully into the workforce.
UB Senior Vice President Alex Ramos described the partnership as “a milestone in our shared pursuit of academic innovation and industry relevance,” adding that integrating Enderun’s world-class culinary expertise will empower students “with the discipline and creativity demanded by today’s global culinary landscape.”
Echoing this sentiment, Daniel Perez, Enderun Colleges’ Chief Operating Officer, said, “This partnership feels like an endorsement of quality and a privilege to work with such a distinguished institution. We share a vision of providing Filipinos with the skills that can truly change their lives.”
Beyond the formalities, both institutions view this collaboration as a bridge – connecting education to employment, passion to profession, and ambition to opportunity. Together, Enderun Colleges and the University of Batangas are setting the stage for a stronger, more future-ready generation of Filipino learners.
