A defining feature of over-the-top (OTT) services, such as Netflix, is allowing users to binge-watch shows at their convenience. This convenience is precisely why Kapampangan journalist Albert Lacanlale finds Netflix particularly appealing. As the operations head of SunStar Pampanga and a broadcaster for RW 95.1FM, Lacanlale’s demanding routine leaves him little time to watch scheduled programs on regular cable TV.
Fortunately, Netflix now allows him to stream movies and shows whenever it suits him.
“Back then, with regular cable channels, you had to wait every week for new episodes. Now, everything’s complete. When I have time, I can watch several episodes in one sitting. You couldn’t do that before. If you missed an episode, that’s it. But with Netflix, you can go back, rewatch anytime, and even replay certain parts,” he shared.
