Converge DTI AI Center supports MSMEs in digital growth
The Department of Trade and Industry and Converge SME Business Group opened a new path for small businesses. They launched the first DTI AI and Start-up Center in Makati. The center gives entrepreneurs direct access to digital tools, AI support, and fast connectivity powered by Converge. The goal is clear. Support MSMEs so they can compete in a digital economy.

Small businesses carry the local economy. They make up 99.5 percent of all registered businesses in the Philippines. Many still face problems when they try to shift online. Some lack training. Others lack access to reliable internet. This new center addresses those gaps with simple and useful support.
The center sits inside the DTI building. It offers a space where MSMEs can try AI tools and explore digital systems. You learn how to build your online presence. You gain steps to improve operations. You get access to reliable fiber internet from Converge.
DTI Assistant Secretary Nylah Rizza Bautista said that many MSMEs struggle with digital adoption. She explained that the center aims to fix that gap so more Filipino entrepreneurs can grow in a tech driven market. Her message was direct. Digital skills are now essential.
Converge SME Business Group Senior Vice President Dindo Marzan said the partnership follows their long time goal. Converge wants affordable and reliable connectivity for every Filipino. He added that this center supports MSMEs by giving them tech and training that help them compete and innovate.
The partnership includes several programs. MSMEs get capacity building workshops. They get digital onboarding support. They get access to Converge services for business productivity. These tools help them adopt digital solutions faster.
Converge also continues its plan to expand fiber coverage. The company aims to reach more unserved and underserved areas. This helps small businesses in both cities and far communities gain equal access to technology. Converge Vice President Angela Gutierrez said digital empowerment means giving every entrepreneur a chance to succeed.
Converge CEO Dennis Anthony Uy often says that no Filipino and no business should be left behind. This project follows that vision. With the DTI AI and Start-up Center now open, MSMEs can move forward with stronger support, better tools, and reliable connectivity.
