Beko, Europe’s No. 1 Large Home Appliance company, has achieved a major sustainability milestone as it secures the top spot in its industry and climbs to the 17th position overall in TIME Magazine’s World’s Most Sustainable Companies 2025. This recognition reinforces Beko’s global commitment to innovative, energy-efficient, and eco-conscious living.
With the world facing intensifying environmental challenges, Beko is pushing sustainability from intent to impact. The company stood out among over 5,000 global brands evaluated under TIME’s stricter 2025 criteria focused on environmental and social stewardship, reporting, and transparency.
“We’re proud to be the sector leader, not just by intent, but through verifiable progress,” said Beko CEO Hakan Bulgurlu. “What matters is building systems that allow people and the planet to thrive.”
Beko’s sustainability highlights include using over 27,800 tonnes of recycled plastics in its products, recycling 1.86 million Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) since 2014, and installing 90.2MWp in renewable energy in manufacturing. Low-carbon products now contribute to 71.5% of the company’s turnover, with energy-efficient models representing 61.9%.
As Beko continues its roadmap to net zero by 2050, its industry-leading transparency and innovation prove that large-scale sustainability is achievable. In the Philippines, this recognition underscores the brand’s mission to help Filipino households live healthier and more sustainably through smart appliance solutions.
