AirAsia Leading Low-Cost Airline 2025 wins double honors at World Travel Awards Asia
AirAsia continues its reign as Asia’s top budget carrier. The airline took home two major awards at the 2025 World Travel Awards Asia and Oceania in Hong Kong: Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline for the thirteenth time and Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew for the ninth consecutive year.

These wins highlight the airline’s strong connection with travelers and its commitment to quality service. Since its founding, AirAsia has carried close to one billion passengers across more than 130 destinations in Asia, Australia, and beyond.
The airline is now preparing for expansion into the Middle East and Central Asia, strengthening its position as a global low-cost network carrier.
AirAsia’s growth is powered by its digital ecosystem. The AirAsia MOVE app gives travelers a one-stop platform to book flights, check in, and board seamlessly. The new Auto Visa Check feature simplifies international travel, while personalized in-flight services add comfort and convenience.
Bo Lingam, Group CEO of AirAsia Aviation Group, said the award reflects the hard work of the airline’s 21,000 employees, known as Allstars. “Together we have built not just an airline but a movement that makes travel accessible for everyone,” he said.
Suhaila Hassan, Group Head of Cabin Crew, credited the airline’s success to its crew. “Their smiles, energy, and care define who we are,” she said.
Graham E. Cooke, Founder of the World Travel Awards, praised AirAsia’s commitment to service excellence and consistency.
For over 30 years, the World Travel Awards has honored the best in travel and tourism. Winners are chosen by both professionals and travelers, reflecting real trust and satisfaction.
With sustainability goals and a target of net zero emissions by 2050, AirAsia continues to lead in affordable, eco-conscious air travel.
