The cast, filmmakers, and special guests celebrated the release of Verity at the film’s New York premiere last September 29 at the AMC Lincoln Square. Stars Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, and Josh Hartnett made an appearance together with director-producer Michael Showalter. Author-producer Colleen Hoover also showed up to support the film adaptation of her best-selling psychological thriller.

Verity follows struggling writer Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota Johnson) as she is scouted to ghostwrite for renowned author Verity Crawford (Anne Hathaway). To aid in her work, Lowen moves into the Crawford estate, and soon uncovers a twisted confession from the author, with dark details about her life and her husband Jeremy (Josh Hartnett). Lowen soon unravels a mystery where it’s difficult to separate reality from fiction, and opportunity from obsession.
