Spotify soundtracks Filipinos’ fitness rituals. From solo training sessions to community workouts, Filipinos are turning to Spotify as part of how they move. The rise of run culture has seen consumption of running playlists on Spotify quadruple, while user-generated running playlists increased five-fold.
The top running tracks locally reflect the energy listeners bring to every run—from the uplifting sound of “Golden” by HUNTR/X, to the high-intensity push of “Can’t Hold Us” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and the pop confidence of “like JENNIE” by JENNIE.
Spotify brings fitness culture closer to fans through IN THE ZONE, a playlist featuring takeovers from Filipino athletes and movement leaders who share the tracks that fuel their focus, flow, and drive. The latest IN THE ZONE curator is Hannah Pangilinan, founder of Just One Run Club–one of the communities helping shape the country’s growing running movement. Her playlist features a mix of nostalgic rock and feel-good alternative tracks, including September by Earth, Wind, & Fire, There She Goes by Sixpence None The Richer, and Ain’t No Mountain High Enough by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. Reflecting on the playlist, Hannah shared, “I pulled from my personal running playlists that I’ve used in my races, and I basically wanted to share the songs that have contributed to my overall energy when running. The songs reflect positive affirmations and high BPMs that help with my pace strategy, and they also encapsulate the feelings I’d like to embody and the mindset I want to be in when I run.”
Running is just the start.
Spotify powers every stage of the fitness journey. From warm-up beats to high-energy tracks for the final push and familiar songs for long-distance runs, listeners can find the right soundtrack for every moment on Spotify. Through the Fitness Hub, listeners can access curated playlists and guided fitness content in one place, making it easier to integrate movement into their day.
