Team Lakay’s Eustaquio takes second crack at Bunrad

  • “Unstoppable” Lee Stakes Perfect Record In One Championship’s “Dynasty of Heroes” Live On S+A

The youngest ever mixed martial arts (MMA) world champion Angela “Unstoppable” Lee puts her Women’s Atomweight title and her perfect record on the line in ONE Championship’s “Dynasty of Heroes” fight card this Friday (May 26), airing LIVE from the Singapore Indoor Stadium at Kallang, Singapore on S+A at 8:30pm.

The submission artist (7-0; 5 Submissions) will take on challenger Istela Nunes (5-0; 2 KOs) and will rely on her unparalleled ground combat skills and grappling techniques to subdue her seventh challenger. Nunes, meanwhile, hopes to goad the champion into a stand-up fight to snatch the belt.

In the night’s other main event, it’s another battle of the undefeated as Ben Askren tries to bring the “Funky” to the “Alligator,” Agilan Thani, in a welterweight brawl everyone is waiting to see, with the ONE Welterweight world title on the line. Askren has been undefeated in 15 fights. Thani, on the other hand, considered one of the rising welterweight stars in ONE Championship, packs a perfect 7-0 record.

Meanwhile, Filipino cage warrior and Team Lakay representative Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio (8-5) is on a comeback trail as he takes a second crack at fierce rival Anatpong “Mak” Bunrad (5-2) in the undercard. Eustaquio hopes to avenge his earlier loss to Bunrad and keep Team Lakay’s winning streak inside the ONE Championship arena. Curiously, Eustaquio’s last loss came at the hands of submission specialist Toni Tauru, who was clobbered to oblivion by fellow Team Lakay fighter Kevin Belingon in “Kings of Destiny.”

Don’t miss the explosive brawls headlined by ONE Atomweight World Champion Angela “Unstoppable” Lee and ONE Welterweight World champion Ben “Funky” Askren on “ONE: Dynasty of Heroes” LIVE on S+A this Friday (May 26), 8:30pm beaming straight from the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
