  • The newly re-opened restaurant gives Titos and Titas the fitting dining option.

Looking for that dining spot where food is of quality and ambiance is welcoming could be challenging despite the countless choices around. Thanks to the newly re-opened Sobre Mesa at the Shangri-la Plaza Mall and Sapphire Bloc, Ortigas, the Titos and Titas of Manila would now have a top of mind alternative.

Sobre Mesa offers a stellar dining experience paired with an awesome 90’s vibe perfect for the joy of catching up and having great conversations with people whom you shared your younger days with. Conceived to be the suitable location ideal for pausing from the fast-paced city hustle, Chef Benjo Tuason, together with his Tito and Tita friends, decided to re-establish a restaurant where they can enjoy each other’s company while reminiscing with equally loved dishes and timeless favorites. There are even posters around to flashback you to the legendary Tito and Tita generation.

Chef Benjo Tuason said, “Here at Sobre Mesa, we embrace the value of preparing a warm atmosphere that leads you to hang out with ease over classic, heart-warming, and well-cooked Spanish and European dishes”. He also has this catchy motto that all his team believes and embraces- prepare with care, cook with love and serve with pride.

Ready to fully satisfy diners with great choices of food, a few top picks by Chef Benjo include the bestselling Chicken and Steak Platter that gives the best of both worlds served with side salad, corn fritters and a range of our most loved dips; the classic Italian dish, Tito Harvard’s Osso Buco, complimented with seasonal crisp vegetables and fluffy mashed potatoes; the gratifying Spanish staple, Arroz Negra; and the most sought after Tito Japs’ Bulalo Estofado, a slow braised beef shank that swims in soy and citrus sauce.

To complete this revamp, Sobre Mesa will treat all their customers an unbelievable one round of Sangria and complimentary homemade bread. The house special Sangria is available in virgin variety as well. They also have the mood stimuli, Happy Hour, Every Hour starting 5PM onwards. Diners can avail 4 bottles of local beer for just Php 250 and cocktails are at flat Php 100 only!

What’s even more interesting is that hump day Wednesdays got even better with their Titos and Titas Day! If you are born from 1975-1990, a pre-senior discount of 16% will be given. How’s that for a treat? Furthermore, Sobremesa’s Shangri-la branch will have Unlimited Tapas every Saturday for only P 450.00.
Sobre Mesa at Shangri-la Plaza is located at the East Atrium, Level 4. It is open during mall hours from 11am-9pm daily. They also have a location at the Sapphire Bloc Ortigas Center. It is open from 11 AM to 2 PM and 5PM to 10PM. On weekends, they are open until midnight.
