Scaling its card-free BNPL: BillEase Launches Payment App on Shopify for Fast Adoption

BillEase, the flexible and transparent alternative to credit cards and e-wallets, today announced its partnership with Shopify, the leading global commerce company, introducing its first-ever Shopify payment app which allows merchants to easily add BillEase at checkout with just one click.

Through BillEase’s payment app, online retailers can now seamlessly offer BillEase’s suite of buy now, pay later (BNPL) solutions such as Pay Later in 10 to 30 days, Pay in 4 installments, and Pay Monthly, interest-free or interest-bearing. Shopify merchants can accept BillEase payments and enable a calculator widget that shows shoppers the actual price of purchase if paid in installments on the merchant’s storefront which is now part of the payment app.

BillEase, which has been downloaded more than 1 million+ times by Filipino shoppers, is aiming to help Filipino retailers drive conversion rate and customer loyalty with its zero-interest payment plans. For example, many Shopify merchants are now using its Pay in 4 installment product which allows shoppers to pay only 1/4 upfront and the rest in 3 payments every two weeks, 0% interest! The payment product supports transaction amounts between PHP 1,000 and up to PHP 20,000. This allows a merchant increase customer loyalty as well as boost customer purchasing power, resulting in more conversion and higher-order values.

“We are excited to partner with Shopify and offer this faster integration as we constantly look for ways to improve not only shopping experience but also the user experience for our Shopify merchants,” said Georg Steiger, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of First Digital Finance Corporation (FDFC) which operates the BNPL app. “Any merchant can now easily incorporate our card-free BNPL solution at their checkout to boost their conversion rate”.

BillEase is currently partnered with over 500+ online and offline retailers which include Philippine Airlines, Samsung, Vivo, Mandaue Foam, Anson’s, Western Appliances, Kimstore, JBL, Havaianas, Aura Athletica, Hedgren, DC Shoes, Res|Toe|Run, QuickSilver, TUMI, Bratpack, KitchenAid, among many others. BillEase is also offered by major payment gateway such as 2C2P, Xendit, Paynamics, Dragonpay, and Bux.

In January 2022, the startup company raised its Series B funding which it will use to further expand and develop its products, double its engineering team and hire top talents which highlights the continued growth of its BNPL offering in the country.
