Qatar Airways Group Hired Over 2000 Filipinos Following Manila Recruitment Drive

Airline set to continue its successful recruitment effort across the Philippines in Manila, Clark and Cebu starting May 2022

Qatar Airways Group hired over 2000 Filipinos following its first mass recruitment drive in Manila on 18th to 22th April 2022, with thousands of applicants attended the walk-in interviews. The key roles filled from this successful recruitment exercise include cabin crew, airport lounge attendant staff, airport hospitality staff, and catering roles such as chefs and kitchen stewards.

Qatar Airways Chief Customer Experience Officer, Rossen Dimitrov said: “Qatar Airways is heartened by the overwhelming response from our first recruitment drive in Manila, and would like to thank all Filipino applicants for their support in making our recruitment exercise a great success. We will be holding further recruitment drives across the Philippines in the coming weeks, and hope to continue attracting Filipino talents to join Qatar Airways, the world’s best airline, as we ramp up our operation to meet global travel demand and deliver service excellence to passengers worldwide.”

Following the success of Qatar Airways’ first Manila recruitment drive, the airline will be holding further recruitment drives across the Philippines. From now, interested applicants can start applying for roles online via Qatar Airways career page https://qatarairways.com/philippinesrecruitment

Roles available in the upcoming Filipino recruitment drives include Cabin Crew, lounge and contact center staff for the Group’s Customer Experience department, where the greatest number of current vacancies exist. The Filipino recruitment drive will make up a significant segment of the airline’s total global recruitment exercise.

Qatar Airways staff can take advantage of the competitive tax-free income, including accommodation, allowances and transportation for duty, as well as knowing that they are flying with the only airline in the world that has won the World’s Best Airline six times.

The recruitment activities, launched as the airline continues its countdown to the highly-anticipated FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ tournament, are yet further evidence of Qatar Airways’ role at the forefront of the ongoing recovery of the global aviation sector.

As travel restrictions ease, the national carrier of the State of Qatar continues to rebuild its network, which currently stands at over 140 destinations. With more frequencies being added to key hubs, Qatar Airways offers unrivalled connectivity to passengers, making it easy for them to change their travel dates or destination if they need to.

A multiple award-winning airline, Qatar Airways was recently announced as the ‘Airline of the Year’ at the 2021 World Airline Awards, managed by the international air transport rating organisation, Skytrax. It was also named ‘World’s Best Business Class’, ‘World’s Best Business Class Airline Lounge’, ‘World’s Best Business Class Airline Seat’, ‘World’s Best Business Class Onboard Catering’ and ‘Best Airline in the Middle East’. The airline continues to stand alone at the top of the industry having won the main prize for an unprecedented sixth time (2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2021).

Qatar Airways has also become the first global airline in the world to achieve the prestigious 5-Star COVID-19 Airline Safety Rating by Skytrax. This follows the success of Hamad International Airport (HIA) as the first airport in the Middle East and Asia to be awarded a Skytrax 5-Star COVID-19 Airport Safety Rating. These awards provide assurance to passengers across the world that the airline’s health and safety measures are subject to the highest possible standards of professional, independent scrutiny and assessment.
