Oppo A54: A Budget 5G phone

The emergence of 5G connectivity in the Philippines gives birth to smartphones having 5G network support as a key selling feature for consumers. What’s more intriguing is the availability of this feature on mid-range to budget phones without breaking the bank. Of course, the people’s go to brand Oppo would not miss out on this. The new released Oppo A54 bags a lot of features in an affordable price.

Oppo A54: Design Screen

With a classic smartphone look, this device feels more premium with its color-shifting back cover. Whenever the back cover touches light, it partially changes the tone which makes it eye catching. The catch though is that it is a plastic finish which makes fingerprint marks noticeable, but with the free case it is nothing worry about.

The phone’s dimension is about 162.9 x 74.7 x 8.4 mm, and a weight of 190g. It is a little heavy because of the powerful battery but it is pretty easy to hold in the long run. The display is a 6.5-inch edge to edge 1080 x 2400 IPS LCD Screen, which is highly convenient in every lighting because of its 480 nits brightness. It makes streaming your favorite show clearer and more immersive. It runs on a higher refresh rate of 90Hz which makes the phone smoother to use.

Oppo A54: Camera

The main question is the camera reasonable for its price? I would say it exceeded my expectation. For a budget price phone, OPPO A54 features a 48MP main sensor that is pretty good in bright conditions. Plus, it is a wide camera which takes reasonable detailed shots. The feature that makes it different from other 5G budget phone is its 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and there’s an additional 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera.  Of course, a selfie camera of 16MP on the front which is good enough for selfies and video calls.

Here’s a camera sample below:

It is likely go perform better than its rival budget phones specially, when gaming, Regarding storage, the device can store more apps, photos, and videos with the help of 128 GB ROM and opening apps are faster because of the 2.3 GHz octa-core processor.

The feature that Oppo A54 boasts is the decent sized battery capacity of 5,000 mAh. It means it is a long-lasting driver that could last all day even with heavy use.

So, should you buy the Oppo A54? I’ll recommend this device to those who wants the 5G capabilities without having to worry about the price. It is also great for people who wants to have a ergonomic design because of the built-in fingerprint sensor to the power button. It is also best for people that is not very professional at using cameras. The Oppo A54 could be availed in two variants: Starry Blue and Crystal Black.
