  • Neurobion launched newest product called Sense Gloves

  • Sense Gloves uses VR to let people experience the frustration of symptoms of having Neuropathy.

Neurobion, a brand of supplements that combine all B vitamins, has released a new product to help people with neuropathy recognize symptoms. It launched in a previously-held event its new technology utilizing VR to raise awareness on Neuropathy. The product called Sense Gloves will let you experience some of the frustrating symptoms of the dreaded Neuropthy.

Most people aren’t fully aware of the dangers of nerve damage which causes an illness called neuropathy. Effects include impotence, heart-rhythm abnormalities, and amputations. To us Pinoys, we can refer to “pangangalay, pamamanhid and tusok-tusok” as some of the symptoms.

Actually, neuropathy affects 90% of people who suffer from diabetes, most especially those with either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes for over than 10 years. The symptoms can be subtle or even non-existent, all to know that they are already about to lose one of their body parts.

Most commonly thought of as a foot-care issue, neuropathy actually has several forms and can affect many parts of the body. New tests make diagnosing neuropathy easier, yet long-available, simple tests are still effective and underused weapons.

Even though current knowledge of treating neuropathy lags behind knowledge of how to diagnose it, knowing you have neuropathy is valuable because it allows you to take steps to prevent more serious complications. And this is what Neurobion aims to achieve in their ‘Feel to Win’ nerve drill held last Friday, August 30 at the Eastwood Mall Atrium, Quezon City.

But what is neuropathy, really?

Neuropathy or peripheral neuropathy, which affects the feet, legs, and, less commonly, the hands, is dangerous because its symptoms can be so subtle, you won’t know that you are already suffering from it. In fact, the “symptomless” foot is most likely to have a problem.

Why is it dangerous?

Usually, pain is what takes most people to the doctor’s office. If it doesn’t hurt, people won’t get their checkups. The problem is, people with neuropathy have nerves that aren’t sending information anymore and that they have to use their brain and their eyes and their fingers to save the body parts that are affected.

The danger is when you let the damage go untreated and later it’ll be too late to save your body.

Neurobion,is currently raising awareness on this kind of disease. Despite the severity of neuropathy in a person, recovery rates are good when patients receive treatment early.

So in the recently held “Feel to Win,” Neurobion shared valuable knowledge on how people can detect that they have such disease. It introduced its Sense Glove during the event and let the guests know how it feels to live with neuropathy.

The Sense Glove basically delviers a Virtual Reality experience

Famous personalities like Gabby Concepcion, Sam YG and Suzy Entrata-Abrera graced the event and delivered the nerve drill to the audience.

Another “Feel to Win” event will be held on September 21 at the Lucky Chinatown Mall for those who weren’t able to come to the last event. To know more about it, follow Neurobion Philippines on facebook.
