Name Change Might Cause Josie Rizal to be Deleted in the Game According to Tekken Creator

Who haven’t heard of a Filipino character being included in Tekken? Yes, it made Filipino gamers thrilled. But what if the excitement has yet to be blown off?

Namco Bandai might delete Josie Rizal’s character if they are forced to change her name.

Tekken creator Katsuhiro Harada tweeted last Thursday that he would delete the Filipino character from the game if the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA) would issue a statement that will force him to drop the character’s name.

“If Josie can’t get supported in the Philippines, we give her up anytime. Tekken 7 arcade board has a network update system. We can change plan and change characters anytime and quickly,” Harada said.

What is your take on this? Is it too much to delete the character if the issue is a name-change? Post your comments below.
