DESIGN AND BUILT

Just by looking at the device, it is very comparable with the design of last year’s MatePad 10.4.  It still has the matte finish and the all-aluminum frame that helps in making the device sturdy. The device has a sleek and elegant design that exudes a premium feel when using it. It has only one color-type variant which is Midnight Grey.

The device has the usual Huawei branding in landscape mode at the back, alongside with the 8MP camera and the LED flash. The buttons of the MatePad are preferred to be held in landscape orientation. The volume buttons are placed on the top left corner while the power button is at the top.

DISPLAY

Regarding the display, the Huawei MatePad 2021 got a 10.4-inch IPS LCD panel with a 2000 x 1200 resolution. The display showcases almost accurate colors and sharp text – it is a preferably great for movies, lectures, and gaming. The bezels are thick to prevent you from accidentally touching the screen.

For productivity, you can connect this device to Huawei’s Smart Keyboard, and it’s also compatible with the M-Pencil that could produce a more natural handwriting for note-taking.

For entertainment, the device has a quad-speaker with sound by Harman Kardon, as well as support for Histen 6.1, which includes an equalizer and a bass boost. It’s loud enough to fill up a room when used at maximum volume.

BATTERY-LIFE

The device comes with a 10W charger that makes the charging hours of the device of up to 4 hours, from empty battery to full charge. What’s good with its charging capability is that it can be a power-bank for your smartphone as it supports wired power-sharing.

Overall, the Huawei MatePad 10.4 is good for the price of PHP 18,999.00. It has functions that could be of use to students and the online workforce. It includes M pencil support, quad speakers, long battery life, and good performance. It is also best paired if you already have a Huawei-ecosystem so that you could take advantage of the EMUI’s features that could help for your productivity.
