Across the shores, cities and universes; the stars have aligned for the birth of our very own face of Hendrick’s for Southeast Asia – Charmaine Thio. When you chance upon this elixir extraordinaire, welcome her with open arms for she will regale you with tales both delightful and unusual.

With her pocket full of peculiar tricks, Charmaine is charged with cultivating adoration for the world’s most unusual gin amongst consumers and bartenders in the region. Expect to see her traveling throughout Southeast Asia spreading the gospel of Hendrick’s Gin and illuminating the delights of the wondrous cucumber in the Hendrick’s & Tonic and beyond.

Charmaine joins the curious world of Hendrick’s from 28 HongKong Street in Singapore – a craft cocktail bar that has been awarded one of The World’s 50 Best Bars on numerous occasions – where she was the head bartender. She was also the first Singaporean to be accepted into the Tales of the Cocktail Apprentice Programme for two consecutive years and was part of the first Asian cabin to be invited to the spirits camp, Camp Runamok in Kentucky, USA.

As the Regional Brand Ambassador, Charmaine will work closely with the rest of the Hendrick’s Gin team to drive recruitment and advocacy amongst discerning bartenders and bar-attenders. Charmaine will be championing gin education in the region and flavour experimentation with Hendrick’s and will also be hosting an amalgam of unusual experiences that will bring the marvellous world of Hendrick’s to life.

“I have always been a gin lover, and am proper chuffed to be working with Hendrick’s. It’s a beautifully crafted liquid and I look forward to connecting with other bartenders across the region, inducting them into the marvellously unusual world of Hendrick’s and to introduce drink slingers and imbibers to its unique flavour.
