When Super Typhoon Haiyan, one of the strongest recorded cyclones in history, made landfall in the Philippines in November 2013, it displaced 600,000 and left millions of people without homes, jobs and means of income. The province of Leyte, located in the country’s Visayas region, was one of the worst hit.
Five years have passed since Haiyan – yet there is still a lot to be done. That is what we have committed to do—to pool our talents, skills and passions to support the people of Leyte.
For the love of Leyte is a movement that will bring attention to the area and increase accessibility and livelihoods of local artisans. At its core, it aims to kickstart long term initiatives both during the festival and throughout the years to come.
Hosted on a sprawling farm just outside of Tacloban, the concert will feature two music stages, art grounds and on-site camping. An immersive two-day program of music, art, and other cultural workshops.
